DESCRIPTION

Energietal Toggenburg is an association of privates, companies and 10 municipalities for the promotion of efficient energy use as well as local and CO2 neutral energy production in Toggenburg valley. The association has set sustainable goals for the region in terms of energy use for 2034 and is aiming towards a 2000-Watt society by 2059.

CONTRIBUTION IN RENOWAVE

In the “Energietal Toggenburg”, smaller municipalities face diverse renovation challenges that can be tackled through learning processes. Energietal Toggenburg with its 10 municipalities and broad network are directly involved (through in-kind) in all relevant parts of Subproject 1.1 “Boosting municipal decisions through participative policy analysis”. They are involved as case studies/pilot cases in the participative policy analyses, part of the cooperative interest alignment processes and crucial partners to build up and validate model processes for other municipalities. Energietal Toggenburg is also partner in Subproject 2.4 “Decision support instruments combining geo and building data”
