DESCRIPTION

Minergie is a Swiss label for buildings (new or retrofitted) issued for the first time in Switzerland in the 1990s. Since then, it has been developed from a pioneer idea to one of the most climate-conscious building standards in the world. The purpose of Minergie is to higher the valuation of energy-conscious construction that pursues a superior living comfort. Initially, the certifications were according to Swiss requirements; however in 2020, a first international standard has been developed in Chile. Today, about 55,000 buildings have been constructed in Switzerland according to Minergie Standard.
