DESCRIPTION

The Department of Culture and Services of the City of Winterthur is responsible for the city’s cultural institutions and deals with cultural affairs. It is also responsible for various departments with cross-departmental functions.

CONTRIBUTION IN RENOWAVE

WIN-City contributes in Subproject 1.4 “Life Cycle Sustainability and resilience assessment of solutions”. It also supports the research team in both main work projects of Subproject 4.1 “Sustainability Transitions – cross-sectoral collaboration and system innovations”, drawing on their experiences with urban policies (f.ex. the Winterthur Energy Plan, Energy Action Plan, and Energy and Climate Concept 2050) and multisectoral approaches (f.ex. the WinLab living lab initiative).
