DESCRIPTION

The TRANSFORM institute plays a key role in transformations of the built environment, acting as a link between fundamental research, professional practice and industrial production. It is the only research institute in Switzerland to adopt transformation as its innovation theme, playing a critical role in bridging the gap between academic research and professional practice. Transformation projects come in a variety of forms, including renovations, restorations, extensions, conversions and redevelopments. The TRANSFORM institute focuses on transforming habitable space in ways that integrate innovative processes and technologies while preserving heritage and cultural value. The highly-qualified research team consists of architects, urban planners, engineers, historians, geographers, physicists, anthropologists and artists.
