DESCRIPTION

The Institute for Energy Systems IES offers research and development on thermal and electrical energy systems. Their work focus is on heat pumps, refrigeration technology, power electronics and decentralized energy supply. IES offers conceptual studies, simulations, laboratory and field measurements, system integration as well as building and optimizing prototypes for household, commercial and industrial applications.

CONTRIBUTION IN RENOWAVE

OST-IES has a wide experience in high temperature application. It has evaluated HP field performance and HP testing, as it runs the Swiss accredited HP test center. It also has a vast experience with system simulation. IES will be thus contributing to Subproject 2.1 “Design and technical improvement of fuel-switch concepts”.
