DESCRIPTION

The Office for Environmental Protection of the City of Bern is committed to clean air, clean water, less noise, less light emissions and sustainable development in the environmental and energy sectors of the city of Bern. The Environment and Energy department is responsible for precautionary environmental protection within the city of Bern by planning and implementing appropriate strategies and impact-oriented measures. It makes sure to take precautionary measures to ensure an environment worth living in and is committed to a sustainable city based on the goals of the 2000-watt society.
